“ The nicest bartenders in all of the East Village. Absinthe is their calling and you should definitively partake - the combination with cider is delightful (and I am not particularly fond of licorice). It will get you very drunk, though, so make sure to order a hotdog from Feldman’s Hot dogs - right on the premises. Takes cards. ”
“ 5* simply for the excellent people working here offering personable customer service, down to earth attitude, and some good stiff drinks. Outdoor tables are big enough to fit a party of 6. A chill spot to hang out. ”
“ Nice staff and chill atmosphere, known for its absinthe drinks. Wasn’t super busy when we went on Saturday. There’s also a theatre connected to the tavern. ”
“ Quirky, unique neighborhood spot which reflects it’s East Village digs. I stopped in on a Friday afternoon, and enjoyed a properly-served absinthe. The bartender was very friendly and was able to give great insight on the available options they had. Certainly not your typical bar in the area and worth a stop by for something g different ”
“ Absinthe is a must have here. This place takes you back in time and is a must have stop for tourists after a long day of the city wanting to sit and enjoy a drink also its next door to the gangster museum which is a plus. ”
“ Fantastic speakeasy with great staff and selection of absinthe. Perfect, authentic vibe that's getting harder and harder to find. On top of that, the prices are just right too. ”
